What unique features or innovations does OK2Charge offer that set it apart from other solutions in the market?
There are several very important factors that set OK2Charge from other EV Charging software providers. At our core we of course support all of the functionality that is employed today: Idle Fees, Load Management, Payment Processing and more. But what sets us apart is our focus on the unique needs of property managers and owners.
- Access Control: We integrate with leading property management systems to ensure the people whom you wish to charge are able to charge at your property. You can give owners free charging, residents/guests discounted charging, or even sell charging packages for the entirety of their stay.
- App-less Charging: EV drivers do not want yet another app to download and use to connect for their charging experience. With a simple QR code the driver is linked to our mobile responsive web page where they can login or create an account that is easily linked to major credit cards, Google Pay or Apple Pay.
- Time of Use: As the electrical infrastructure matures the electrical utilities are learning to implement different cost structures at different times of day. Our platform gives the driver the ability to choose the time of day to charge and the property owner to ensure they bill for peak hours at a higher rate as well.
- Enterprise SaaS: Our team has a deep history of building real estate software platforms at the enterprise level. We take this experience to the EV Charging realm and have built our SaaS solution from the ground up for the Real Estate industry.
- Hardware Agnostic: Our enterprise EV Charging software works on any OCPP enabled and smart/networked EV Charging hardware on the market today. Several of our integrations include ABB, Siemens, Phihong/Zerova, LG, Autel, Enel X and many more. We have even added our software to existing hardware installations.
In what ways does OK2Charge’s software contribute to the overall sustainability and efficiency of EV charging networks?
We like to say that we enable EV Charging software solutions so that our clients can Go Green without Going into the Red! It’s important to do your part to ensure sustainable practices are utilized to make our planet a better place for generations to come. However, we also have commitments to our investors and other stakeholders. With that in mind, our clients can implement fair and equitable pricing structures to ensure those that benefit from convenient EV Charging where they live, work, and vacation pay their fair share. And let’s be honest it’s still more cost effective than a tank of gas!
What are some of the key challenges and opportunities you foresee in the EV charging industry, and how is OK2Charge preparing to address them?
Consistency and longevity of partners is a key concern for the industry as a whole as well as clients that wish to deploy EV Charging. We have partnered with many of the biggest names in electrical infrastructure (ABB, Siemens, LG, Enel X, and more) because we know that in 10 years they will still be around supporting the systems deployed as well as the other electrical infrastructure products they sold.
For investors interested in supporting your mission, what avenues or opportunities are available for engagement and investment?
We have recently reopened our Seed Round to provide more runway until we go to market for a potential Series A. If there is interest we have approximately $700k remaining with the same Preferred terms as the original Seed investors. Our preference is for strategic investors that can introduce us to or deploy our solutions at properties throughout North America.
