I started 10 years ago because I was interested in new technologies.
What are the best innovation themes that you see in the market today?
Using lessons learned from Crypto to apply Blockchain to solve real world problems, not only in financial services but in other industries as well.
Beyond economic return, what kind of impact do you hope to make with your portfolio?
We are lowering the minimum for women and minorities so they can participate in wealth creation. We are democratizing the venture and digital asset spaces. We are investing in solutions for climate change, healthcare, supply chains, etc.
What’s the most pressing challenge or pain point in managing your day-to-day private investment activity?
Not being able to get back to every entrepreneur because I don’t have time.
What is the hardest investment lesson you’ve learned and/or the biggest investment mistake you’ve made?
Being too early is like being wrong. As an early adopter I have to temper my excitement and wait for people to catch up. I have often advocated for projects when it was just the wrong time.
